15 miles away, Holly Springs is a beautiful and historic antebellum town, spared during the Civil War being the home to an 11 confederate Generals. A Pilgrimage tour of Holly Springs including the mansions, churches, graveyard and other historical sites takes place every April 16, 17, and 18. The spring and summer gardens in Holly Springs are luscious. Holly Springs is home to Rust College, the world renown Acapella Gospel Choir, the Audubon Society at Strawberry Plains, the Kate Clark Gallery, the Ida B Wells Art Museum, and the antebellum Walter Place Estate. Visit the infamously famous Graceland Too, containing the largest collection of Elvis Paraphernalia outside of Graceland in Memphis, open at all odd hours.
Marshall County Museum
Marshall County born and bred, curater Lois Swaney’s artwork is the Marshall County Museum This is where you can learn about this interesting town. Lois’ history stories are told with a flourish only a Southerner can master . She is penning the history in a series of books that you can pick up at the museum. She also regularly writes a historical column for the local paper “The South Reporter”.

THE BLUES
Marshall County is the home of two of our greatest Blues Artists: RL Burnsides and Jr Kimbrough. The talented descendents of these two Blues men, including Cedric, Duane, David and Gary Burnsides and Kenny Kimbrough continue to reside in the area and continue the great MS Country Hillside Blues tradition.

The proprietor David “Fox” Caldwell is a history lesson. Marshall county is a story telling place, and Mr Caldwell is a story telling man.
Juke Joints: Juke Joints come and go, but the two that tend to flourish in Marshall County are Club 2000, and Marshall Disco. You have never heard the Blues until you hear them in Mississippi.
